Google Analytics

  • Scope of personal data processing
Our site uses the web tracking service provided by the company Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as “Google Analytics”). As part of its web tracking Google Analytics uses cookies, which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of our website and your internet use (referred to as “tracking”). We conduct this analysis using the tracking services of Google Analytics with a view to ensuring the ongoing optimisation of our web presence and improving its availability. In using our website data such as your IP address and your user activity will be transmitted to servers of the company Google Ireland Limited and processed and saved outside of the European Union, e.g. in the USA.
The EU Commission has determined that an appropriate degree of data protection may exist in the USA if the company processing the data has signed up to the US-EU Privacy Shield Framework thus ensuring the reliable transfer of data to the USA. By enabling IP anonymisation within the Google Analytics tracking code of this website, your IP address will be anonymised by Google Analytics before transmission. This website uses a Google Analytics tracking code that has been given the extension Operator gat._anonymizeIP(); to enable anonymous recording of IP addresses only (referred to as IP masking).

  • Legal basis for processing personal data
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), either during the process of registering with Google (opening a Google account and accepting the privacy notices in place there) or, if you have not yet registered with Google, by means of explicit consent granted by entering our website.
Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your visit to this website, compile reports about your website activities and to provide us with other services associated with website use and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of the Google Analytics service will not be conflated with other data held by Google Ireland Limited.

  • Storage duration
Google will store the data required for the provision of web tracking as long as is necessary to fulfil the web service booked. Data will be recorded and stored anonymously. If, however, a personal connection does in fact exist, the data recorded will be deleted immediately, insofar as no statutory retention periods apply. Erasure takes place upon expiry of the retention obligation in any case.

  • Right to object and erasure
You can prevent personal data from being recorded and forwarded to Google (in particular your IP address) and processed by Google by disabling the running of script code in your browser, installing a script blocker in your browser (you can find this at https://www.noscript.net or https://www.ghostery.com/) or enabling the “Do not track” setting in your browser. You can also prevent the data generated by the Google cookie in relation to your use of the website from being recorded (including your IP address), sent to, and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Google Tag Manager

  • Scope of personal data processing
Our site uses the service provided by the company Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as Google Tag Manager). Google Tag Manager offers a technical platform for running and jointly managing other web services and web tracking programs using what are referred to as “tags”. In this connection Google Tag Manager saves cookies on your computer and analyses your web-browsing habits where web tracking tools are being run by Google Tag Manager (referred to as “tracking”). This data, sent from individual tags integrated in Google Tag Manager, is merged, stored and processed by Google Tag Manager in one uniform user interface. All integrated “tags” are listed again separately in the privacy policy. You can find out more about the privacy of the tools integrated in Google Tag Manager in the respective section of this privacy policy. When using our website with Google Tag Manager tag integration activated, data such as, in particular, your IP address and your user activity will be transmitted to servers of the company Google Ireland Limited and processed and saved outside of the European Union, e.g. in the USA.
The EU Commission has determined that an appropriate degree of data protection may exist in the USA if the company processing the data has signed up to the US-EU Privacy Shield Framework thus ensuring the reliable transfer of data to the USA. This is the case with Google Ireland Limited. With regard to the web services integrated by Google Tag Manager, the provisions in the respective section of this privacy policy apply. The tracking tools used in Google Tag Manager use source code IP anonymisation to ensure that IP addresses are anonymised by Google Tag Manager before transmission. Google Tag Manager can therefore only record IP addresses anonymously (referred to as IP masking).

  • Legal basis for processing personal data
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), either during the process of registering with Google (opening a Google account and accepting the privacy notices in place there) or, if you have not yet registered with Google, by means of explicit consent granted by entering our website.

  • Purpose of data processing
Google uses this information on our behalf to analyse your visit to this website, compile reports about your website activities and to provide us with other services associated with website use and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of the Google Analytics service will not be conflated with other data held by Google Ireland Limited.

  • Storage duration

Erasure takes place upon expiry of the retention obligation in any case.

  • Right to object and erasure
You can prevent personal data from being recorded and forwarded to Google (in particular your IP address) and processed by Google by disabling the running of script code in your browser, installing a script blocker in your browser (you can find this at https://www.noscript.net or https://www.ghostery.com/) or enabling the “Do not track” setting in your browser. You can also prevent the data generated by the Google cookie in relation to your use of the website from being recorded (including your IP address), sent to, and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). You can find Google’s security and privacy policies at https://policies.google.com/privacy
